Suzuki Philippines Incorporated (SPH) is proud to announce its certification in ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS) and ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System (EMS) by TUV Rheinland Philippines, Inc. In spite of the challenges posed by COVID-19 pandemic, the company achieved its certification for operating based on an international standards that will serve best the needs of its customers.

The dedication and commitment to provide high-quality products and services to customers are SPH’s main goals and objectives. Being presented with this certificate is yet another remarkable achievement for the company.

The preparation started in August 2019 for ISO 14001:2015 with an appointment of EMS committee. The process did not turn easy as the activities had to be deferred due to the impact of COVID-19 and realigned with SPH and the government’s safety protocols. Despite the difficulties, and with great team effort and commitment, the company was able to meet all the requirements. Last September 25, 2020 after the Stage 2 Audit, TUV Rheinland Phils., Inc. announced the successful completion of SPH’s ISO 14001:2015 Certification. The certificate was provided with a 3-year validity from October 08, 2020 until October 07, 2023.

The certification process of SPH for ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System had been more tedious and required larger number of employees in the implementation. It encourages an organization to establish a quality management system that sets out policies and procedures for implementation to meet customer requirements and enhance customer satisfaction.

SPH started the preparation last August 2020 with an appointment of the QMS Committee. The team, together with SPH Top Management, internal auditors and employees, worked side by side to meet all the requirements within the target timeline. Everybody exerted their efforts starting from the preparation of policies and procedures, planning and conducting the internal audit, management review, stage 1 audit up to the successful stage 2 audit last January 22—24, 2021. The Certification for ISO 9001:2015 QMS was conferred to SPH with a 3-year validity from February 03, 2021 until February 02, 2024.

SPH is looking forward to continuous support and cooperation of the employees in order to maintain the ISO certification for the company’s continuous business growth and improvement.

SUZUKI SATISFIED AS 2022 SEASON KICKS OFF IN SEPANG

Team Suzuki Press Office – February 5.

Alex Rins: 3rd – 1’58.471 (+ 0.100)
Joan Mir: 7th – 1’59.067 (+ 0.696)
Sylvain Guintoli: 26th – 2’01.390 (+ 3.019)

A day after Team Suzuki Ecstar launched their stylish 2022 GSX-RR it was time to put it to the test at the scorching Sepang International Circuit.

With this being the first time that Joan Mir and Alex Rins had taken to the track since the last test in Jerez in November, there were plenty of new things to try, as well as fine-tuning parts already tried.

The engine received some further improvements over the winter, and early feedback from the riders on this finalised version was very positive. It was necessary, with this new engine in the bike, to adapt and adjust several other parts such as chassis, swingarm, and electronics. Team Suzuki Ecstar also brought a new version of the ride height adjuster first seen last season. Overall, Mir and Rins felt satisfied with the work done on the first day, especially as they both placed close to the top time.

Rins completed a whopping 72 laps – the highest number of any rider – taking time to feel the improvements in the engine of his GSX-RR.

He reported positive feelings overall but is looking to work on aerodynamics tomorrow.

Mir put in 68 laps and he also tried many new items. His feedback was good and he felt he could improve his lap time tomorrow, when he also hopes to work on electronics.

Team Suzuki Ecstar will be back on track tomorrow for the second, and final, test day in Sepang.

Alex Rins:

“I’ve been waiting for this test for a long time, so I think this could be why I was fast early on – I was so keen to be back on track! Overall, I’m happy because my pace was strong, and I was able to test many different things. It’s always interesting and important to find what the strongest parts are, and what still needs improvement. I can already feel that the engine is more powerful, and the data reflects that, so let’s see what we can do tomorrow.”

Joan Mir:

“It’s the first day back at school! The feelings are positive so far, even though the heat here is unbelievable. We tried many items, especially the chassis parts, and it’s a bit early to take solid conclusions but my feelings were good today. I’m pleased with how everything is going so far and tomorrow we’ll continue to learn how to get the maximum out of the bike. We need to work a bit more on the electronics, because we didn’t have enough time to get everything ‘on point’ yet. My lap time was OK today, pretty solid, but I know I can do more.”

Sylvain Guintoli:

“I’ve been here in Sepang for a few days longer than Alex and Joan because we had the three-day shakedown test. This allowed me to test a lot of the items already; the new engine, the aero packages, the new rear ride height adjuster. So there was a lot going on during the shakedown. Today I turned my attention to the electronics side, and I tried some new evolution items there; I also tried some new front suspension options. I’m happy because we completed the programme for today, and I’m looking forward to tomorrow.”

Ken Kawauchi – Technical Manager:

“Today we could try many items, some were good and some still need some work, but this is normal in testing. For the first day of the season, we’re satisfied, because the riders need time to adjust to being back on the bike and to discover the improvements. Tomorrow we’ll brush up on a few things and we hope to have another good day.”

SEPANG TEST DAY 1 RESULTS:

1 ESPARGARO, Aleix 1:58.371 9 / 42

2 VIÑALES, Maverick 1:58.384 0.013 0.013 54 / 56

3 RINS, Alex 1:58.471 0.100 0.087 71 / 72

4 BASTIANINI, Enea 1:58.638 0.267 0.167 23 / 44

5 ZARCO, Johann 1:58.946 0.575 0.308 47 / 59

6 QUARTARARO, Fabio 1:59.002 0.631 0.056 49 / 57

7 MIR, Joan 1:59.067 0.696 0.065 63 / 68

8 MARQUEZ, Marc 1:59.287 0.916 0.220 55 / 62

9 ESPARGARO, Pol 1:59.353 0.982 0.066 25 / 64

10 BEZZECCHI, Marco 1:59.468 1.097 0.115 49 / 49

11 CRUTCHLOW, Cal 1:59.558 1.187 0.090 29 / 47

12 NAKAGAMI, Takaaki 1:59.634 1.263 0.076 60 / 62

13 FERNANDEZ, Raul 1:59.682 1.311 0.048 66 / 69

14 BINDER, Brad 1:59.784 1.413 0.102 49 / 58

15 MARQUEZ, Alex 1:59.913 1.542 0.129 51 / 65

16 OLIVEIRA, Miguel 1:59.945 1.574 0.032 38 / 60

17 MARTIN, Jorge 1:59.949 1.578 0.004 19 / 49

18 MARINI, Luca 1:59.966 1.595 0.017 50 / 52

19 BAGNAIA, Francesco 2:00.027 1.656 0.061 22 / 61

20 DI GIANNANTONIO, Fabio 2:00.047 1.676 0.020 39 / 42

21 MORBIDELLI, Franco 2:00.107 1.736 0.060 25 / 61

22 MILLER, Jack 2:00.177 1.806 0.070 48 / 55

23 DOVIZIOSO, Andrea 2:00.342 1.971 0.165 24 / 60

24 GARDNER, Remy 2:00.470 2.099 0.128 59 / 60

25 BINDER, Darryn 2:00.818 2.447 0.348 43 / 45

26 GUINTOLI, Sylvain 2:01.390 3.019 0.572 37 / 46

27 SAVADORI, Lorenzo 2:04.385 6.014 2.995 6 / 15

NC TSUDA, Takuya

For the original article please refer here

https://www.suzuki-racing.com/motogp/SUZUKI-SATISFIED-AS-2022-SEASON-KICKS-OFF-IN-SEPANG.132957.cmsSuzuki Racing (suzuki-racing.com)

The Shell GO+ program allows its members to earn and redeem points, and avail of the exclusive perks and rewards in any of Pilipinas Shell’s more than 1,000 stations nationwide, including discounts for Shell V-Power Fuels, Lubricants and Shell Select snacks. Suzuki motorbike riders can also receive free roadside assistance.

“The benefit will go to the Suzuki customers themselves, as they will enjoy the quality products and services from the Shell station,” said Obmerga. He also added, “Suzuki was one of the top choices for partnership primarily because of their reputation as a brand.”

Suzuki recommends Shell V-Power fuels, developed by Shell’s international group of scientists, because of the efficiency and protection that they bring to the bikes’ engines, powering their performance for all kinds of travel.

The DYNAFLEX technology in Shell V-Power fuels is formulated with powerful cleaning molecules designed to prevent and remove performance-robbing engine deposits. Its advanced formulation is designed to work under the extreme conditions of the fuel intake system, breaking down and cleaning-away deposits. This helps to ensure that the fuel intake system is kept clean, enabling the engine to breathe better, helping the bike’s performance. The DYNAFLEX’s formulation with new friction-reducing molecules has demonstrated better performance under tougher conditions on the highway as well as in the city.

Meanwhile, Suzuki bikers can have their vehicles disinfected and given free maintenance checks in the V-Power Bida Bikers lane in selected Shell stations. These designated lanes, allotted exclusively for bikers, immediately allow them to be fueled without having to line up. The Shell GO+ card also gives them discounts for snacks and other items bought at the Shell Select station.

Obmerga acknowledged the role that riders play in the revival of the economy, saying, “It is high time for us to give specific benefits for our motorcycle riders, given the support they have provided and their assistance to the economy during the pandemic.”

Del Valle enthusiastically encouraged the riders to try out the lanes and biker bays, saying, “I do really look forward to the opportunity to inviting all Suzuki motorcycles to visit a Shell Mobility Station. You will really be treated as a guest with an enhanced customer experience. Shell stations will not only provide riders a place for rest and refreshments, but also additional perks to help improve their everyday journeys.”

Suzuki signs into partnership with Pilipinas Shell: (L-R) From Pilipinas Shell Arvin Obmerga, Marketing Delivery Manager of Mobility; Randy del Valle, Vice President and General Manager for Mobility; from Suzuki Philippines Jun Bulot, General Manager for Motocycle Sales and Marketing Division and Nenuka Guba, Motorcycle Marketing Manager

(L-R) May 7, 2021 Jerome David, Shell V-Power Brand Manager, Gab Cantos, Fuels Marketing Implementer, Arvin Obmerga, Marketing Delivery Manager of Mobility; Randy del Valle, Vice President and General Manager for Mobility of Pilipinas Shell sign into partnership with Jun Bulot, General Manager for Motorcycle Sales and Marketing Division, Nenuka Guba, Motorcycle Marketing Manager, Maryzel Acorda, Motorcycle Product Marketing Specialist, and Edelyn Yanilla Sr. Motorcycle Advertising and PR Supervisor of Suzuki Philippines

Visit us this weel at the following Shell Stations

Suzuki Tent Display Shell Duterte Agdao

Suzuki Tent Display at Shell Mahayahay Iligan City

Suzuki Tent Display at Shell Sta. TEAM SUZUKI ECSTAR PREPARE TO TACKLE FORMIDABLE FRENCH GP

Team Suzuki Press Office – May 15.Grid positions for French GP:...

Team Suzuki Press Office – May 15.

Grid positions for French GP:

Joan Mir: 14th – 1’43.422
Alex Rins: 15th – 1’43.523

A wet and cold Saturday greeted the riders at Le Mans Bugatti circuit in northern France, and despite it being impossible to improve on yesterday afternoon’s times.

The FP3 session was useful for Team Suzuki Ecstar’s riders as they tried different tyre options and both reported feeling confident in the rain.

The circuit warmed up a little in time for the afternoon’s FP4 action, but the only chance to use slick tyres came right at the end of the session; Alex Rins demonstrated Top-3 pace for much of the session, ending it in second. Meanwhile, Joan Mir was firmly in the Top 10, closing FP4 in seventh.

Suzuki’s pair wasted no time in Q1, heading immediately out with wet tyres and staying on track with no pitstops scheduled. Both Mir and Rins did a superb job of stringing quick laps together, with their times steadily improving. Their first three flying laps placed them in first and second places, but towards the end of the session, a yellow flag cost Mir one lap, and Rins also struggled to improve. Despite a decent flying lap from Mir at the end of Q1, in the final moments both he and Rins were pushed to fourth and fifth in the session. That means that they will start 14th and 15th on the grid for tomorrow’s GP.

Ken Kawauchi – Technical Manager:

“Unfortunately, due to the difficult conditions in FP3 this morning, our riders couldn’t improve which meant that they had to fight through Q1. Le Mans is always very hard to deal with – it’s very unpredictable and changeable – and even though our riders had good settings in both dry and wet conditions and good feelings, we just missed out on Q2. It’s a pity that we’re quite far back on the grid, but the race is a different matter and we’ll see what we can do tomorrow using the riders’ good pace.”

Joan Mir:

“Overall it hasn’t been a bad day, but this isn’t the best track for us, and I feel that 14th place on the grid is not showing my real potential – I felt quite strong in both conditions, in wet and dry, and my pace was quite nice. I lost a couple of laps at the end of qualifying, I think maybe I overcooked the tyres or something because the track dried out quickly. But anyway, it’s all useful experience and lessons that I will use in the future, and I am pleased because I’ve already improved my performance in the wet compared with last year. The team have done a really great job with the bike. Starting 14th on the grid is manageable as long as I stay focused; it’s not so different to other recent grid slots, so I’m optimistic.”

Alex Rins:

“It’s been a difficult day ‘at the office’ and I have quite a bad grid position for tomorrow. I made a mistake with my strategy; I chose the medium front and soft rear tyres to start, and I think with the medium rear I would’ve been able to push more and then maybe my grid place would have been better, but there was no time to stop. Let’s see what the weather is like tomorrow, we could have wet, dry, or mixed conditions and for sure it will be a big show. If the race is dry I think I have a chance for the podium because I feel good in the dry and my base settings and confidence are good. If it’s wet or mixed I will flow with the bike, work with a good strategy – prepared for all scenarios – and give my best.”

SHARK GRAND PRIX DE FRANCE – Qualifying Classification:

1 Fabio QUARTARARO Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP 1’32.600
2 Maverick VIÑALES Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP 1’32.681 0.081 / 0.081
3 Jack MILLER Ducati Lenovo Team 1’32.704 0.104 / 0.023
4 Franco MORBIDELLI Petronas Yamaha SRT 1’32.766 0.166 / 0.062
5 Johann ZARCO Pramac Racing 1’32.877 0.277 / 0.111
6 Marc MARQUEZ Repsol Honda Team 1’33.037 0.437 / 0.160
7 Takaaki NAKAGAMI LCR Honda IDEMITSU 1’33.120 0.520 / 0.083
8 Pol ESPARGARO Repsol Honda Team 1’33.150 0.550 / 0.030
9 Valentino ROSSI Petronas Yamaha SRT 1’33.391 0.791 / 0.241
10 Miguel OLIVEIRA Red Bull KTM Factory Racing 1’33.867 1.267 / 0.476
11 Lorenzo SAVADORI Aprilia Racing Team Gresini 1’34.258 1.658 / 0.391
12 Luca MARINI SKY VR46 Avintia 1’34.265 1.665 / 0.007
13 Aleix ESPARGARO Aprilia Racing Team Gresini 1’43.418 Q1
14 Joan MIR Team SUZUKI ECSTAR 1’43.422 Q1
15 Alex RINS Team SUZUKI ECSTAR 1’43.523 Q1
16 Francesco BAGNAIA Ducati Lenovo Team 1’43.530 Q1
17 Danilo PETRUCCI Tech 3 KTM Factory Racing 1’43.857 Q1
18 Iker LECUONA Tech 3 KTM Factory Racing 1’44.324 Q1
19 Alex MARQUEZ LCR Honda CASTROL 1’45.146 Q1
20 Tito RABAT Pramac Racing 1’45.590 Q1
21 Brad BINDER Red Bull KTM Factory Racing 1’45.911 Q1
22 Enea BASTIANINI Avintia Esponsorama 1’46.123 Q1

Click here for the original article

SHARK GRAND PRIX DE FRANCEMotoGP Race Classification:Joan Mir: DNFAlex ...

SHARK GRAND PRIX DE FRANCE
MotoGP Race Classification:

Joan Mir: DNF
Alex Rins: DNF

Round 5 of the MotoGP™ World Championship in Le Mans was always going to be one of the most unpredictable and dramatic races of the season with extremely unsettled weather dominating proceedings from Friday morning onwards, and for Team Suzuki Ecstar it was a weekend to forget.

The 27 lap race was declared dry before the start despite dark clouds closing in, and the entire field, including Team Suzuki Ecstar’s riders, opted for soft-soft slick tyres. Alex Rins got off to a flying start from his 15th place grid spot, placing himself ninth into the first corners and quickly getting up to sixth by the end of Lap 1. Fighting hard and demonstrating excellent pace, Rins had worked his way into fifth on the second lap of the race. Similarly, Joan Mir was up into eighth place after a great pass at the chicane on the third lap.

On the fourth lap of the race, just as Rins worked his way into a superb third place, the clouds broke and heavy rain began to fall around the Bugatti Circuit. In this intense and dangerous situation, coming into change bikes was the only option.
Mir was extremely unlucky as he lost grip just before he could head into pit lane and he found himself down in the gravel trap with no option of rejoining. Rins made it in for his bike swap, but just after exiting pit lane on his wet setup GSX-RR, he was down at Turn 4. Rins was able to rejoin after the team gave him a second bike with rain tyres, but on Lap 14 he fell again at Turn 3. Both riders are uninjured.

Shinichi Sahara – Project Leader and Team Director:

“Today we suffered as a result of the conditions, and we gained zero points. It’s a strange feeling to come away with two DNFs because we knew that our riders could be very competitive, despite the grid positions, in the dry and also in the wet. However, although today didn’t work out as we’d hoped, we are actually feeling very positive about the next races and for this reason we are not too disappointed. Both riders are OK after their crashes, and we know what they’re capable of in the future.”

Ken Kawauchi – Technical Manager:

“It’s been a tough day for Suzuki because neither of our riders could score points, and it’s such a shame. Normally this track isn’t one of our best, and today’s result aside, our performance has actually improved quite a lot compared to last year and we feel much better here. So, there are some positives to take from the situation. Luckily Alex and Joan are fine and they have no injuries, which is also important. Mugello is the next stop, and with its fast corners and technical sections it’s a circuit where we feel quite confident.”

Joan Mir:

“I’m really disappointed, I didn’t expect that crash. Even though there was a lot of rain on the track, it was so unpredictable – I was with the slicks but I wasn’t pushing, I was just going to the box and it was a surprise when I lost the bike. With all the adrenaline running through me I made a mistake; I saw that the bike had shut down and the engine wasn’t running, so I started to run to the pit box without thinking. Today was my first flag to flag experience, so I will learn from everything that happened. Despite everything I felt good and I had good potential, and even in the wet warm-up I felt strong. But this is racing and sometimes it doesn’t work out. I’ll keep my head up and prepare for Mugello.”

Alex Rins:

“It was a big shame that the heavy rain came, because I was saying to my team and my staff yesterday that in the dry I could finish on the podium. I made a perfect start and put in good laps at the beginning, but then when it started to rain it was a big risk because the track was really wet. Coming out of pit lane and into Turn 4 I tried to use a little bit of front brake to help me turn but it turned out to be a mistake as I lost the front. Then I changed the bike again so that I could rejoin. This bike had wet tyres but the set-up was still for dry conditions and so it was very unsettled and reactive, very difficult to ride, then I lost the front and crashed again. Obviously I’m disappointed but there’s nothing more I can do, I was glad to have strong pace in the dry and I got into podium contention really quickly. I’ll keep working and look forward to the next races, I’m strong and the bike is strong, I’m sorry for the team that today has been another DNF but we will pick ourselves up.”

SHARK GRAND PRIX DE FRANCE – MotoGP Race Classification:

1. On the afternoon, there’s a hands on for maintenance where all soldiers wants to try it.

The 1st Technical OBM seminar conducted by the Suzuki Marine was held at Sangley Point Cavite last March 23, 2018 where they also gave a seminar and a hands on technical training for PCG.

The PCG found it as an effective help for them to maintain their OBM units so they are now considering Suzuki Marine as their one call away friend seeing a vision that they will close a bid for their Suzuki OBM unit.

This Seminar Workshop by SPH Marine team is valuable in providing proper knowledge towards the operations and maintenance of their premium Suzuki Outboard Motors.
